However if you can't find the information you're looking for please get in touch at Hello@WellyPutt.co.nz or call us on 0210 8100 567.

What's WellyPutt?

WellyPutt is a labour of love that spans 16 epic, adventure filled holes. We believe it really is an awesome spectacle that provides players with never-before-seen hole design that features both mechanical contraptions as well as interactive playable features like a foosball table and even a catapult! It's so much more than just mini-golf!

What are the rules?

WellyPutt operates by and large much like any other mini-golf, except for when it doesn't...

There are sure to be a few surprises and unique holes along the way, when that is the case though there will be a handy 'How To Play' sign to guide you through.

Maximum shots per hole is 10, please stick to this, especially during busy times so that you don't hold the queue up!

We also ask that you don't sit or stand on any of the gorgeous art sculptures around the course. However we very much encourage posing for photos and videos! Feel free to tag us in any videos or photos you take, we are @WellyPuttMiniGolf on Instagram, TikTok and FaceBook!

Is there an age limit?

WellyPutt is an awesome option for all ages from years 6 and up. Under 12's will need to be supervised by a full paying adult (over 18).

We are also a great option for birthday parties, staff do's, date night, family get together's and nights out with the mates!

Is it safe?

Yes absolutely! Providing of course, like any activity, that you follow the rules! There's a handy list of general house rules available on-site for you to make sure you're doing everything right, your Putt-Master will also go through a few quick do's & don'ts before you tee off to be extra sure! So even if you've never played mini-golf before you will know exactly what to do.

The building we are located in also has a 100% NBS rating in case things get a bit shaky!

How do we get there?

Our address is 5 Wigan St in the CBD, this is just off Taranaki St. There is also a handy cut through from the corner of Cuba St and Vivian St too if you're new to Wellington.

We are just down the street from the Lighthouse Cinema Cuba and next to Zaida's bakery. it's through the big glass door and up the big staircase.

What's the parking situation?

Wigan St is a coupon parking zone, this means parking is free for up to 2-hours during the day, after 6pm in the evenings and all day on the weekends. 2 hours will be plenty of time to have a round with us! You don't need to display anything during these times (just read the blue signs for all the details).

There is also street parking on Taranki St and the surrounding streets (Cuba St, Abel Smith St, Vivian St). This is pay-by-the-hour.

The private car park next to us NOT part of the mini-golf, please do not park in there as you risk being towed.

WellyPutt does not accept any responsibility for any fines/towing/car issues incurred during your visit.

Do we need to book?

Depends! We do accept walk-ins so please feel free to pop along anytime during our opening hours, but we can get pretty hectic during the popular times like weekends, public holidays and school holidays. So if you are quite a big group or just want to guarantee your spot, hit the 'Book Online' bit up the top to reserve your game. Just be aware that we do require full payment in advance for online bookings as we have a limited amount of spaces per session available.

If you have a really big group or want to look at booking the whole venue, then probably best to contact us directly at hello@wellyputt.co.nz and we can guide you from there.

Do you serve refreshments?

Absolutely! WellyPutt prides itself on supporting local establishments and providers at our well-stocked temperance bar so the team can enjoy the best quality refreshments from all around the Wellington area.

We have the finest range of non-alcoholic beers, ciders and wines from the area as well as soft drinks for the little ones!

PLEASE NOTE: Although our bar is non-alcoholic, we are still operating a strict Under 25 policy for all alcohol-related drinks and you may be asked for ID if you are lucky enough to look under the drinking age.

When can we play?

We are open 7 days a week!

Sunday - Thursday: 10am - 8pm

Friday & Saturday: 10am - 10pm

Last Entry is the same time as closing, if you make it in before the closing time you will be able to stay and complete your round!

How long does it take?

WellyPutt is designed to be a challenging course that should give you the feeling afterwards that you had full activity and got your money's worth. Most teams should take around 60-90 minutes to get around the course, depending on your team size, how busy we are, and how good at mini-golf you are!

We would recommend allowing at least 90 minutes for your visit.
